The Bible Institute that we helped to organize in Québec was patterned after the one in Algrange, France, which has been in operation now since 1978. Mike recently had the privilege of teaching there for the first time. Melanie tagged along enabling both of us to profit from time with both current students and long-time personnel of the school. Please pray for this ministry that God would continue to protect it and provide for it’s needs into the future. We are so thankful for the many who have prayed and given towards the move to France and for our outfitting needs. We wanted to share a few pictures. God has truly done some marvelous things to get us here and has provided every step of the way. (1 Thess 5:24)
The snow finally started melting some in Quebec City this week! But there will still be plenty enough around for our move. Our son-in-law is going to try to get his brother’s snow blower to clear a path to the front door from the street, and from the driveway to the shed in the back yard!

Here is our latest prayer news. There is still much that needs to come together before our departure. Thank you for your continued prayers!
After just two months on the market, the sale of our house in Québec City is now final. We now know that a move will be possible after April 1st. This clears the way to apply for visas at the French Consulate in Montréal. Please continue to pray about all of the other details that must be handled before an actual move, including the right choice of and God’s provision for an overseas moving company. Also, be praying with us for wisdom with regards to the eventual sale of our vehicle and God’s provision for another one in France. In the midst of these and other big decisions, we continue to downsize and pack.

Only a few minutes after the sign went up we received an email from the folks in Rouen informing us of their unanimous vote to send us an “official” invitation. This document is necessary for our application for visas, a process which we have already begun. Recently it has taken an average of 85 days to sell a house like ours in the Quebec City area.
After over two years of a nomadic life, we have a lot of health related appointments to catch up with: Dentist, Doctor, optometrist, ophthalmologist, etc. All must be done before we leave… Our days and weeks are full, but by God’s grace, we manage to squeeze in a few moments with the grandkids. What a joy! What health for the soul! (Pr. 17:22).
Another recent email from France included the following: “We are anxious to see you again and to be encouraged by your faithfulness, love, and patience in Jesus Christ.” Do continue to pray that we can get to France as soon as possible.
God is faithful! Read about it in our latest prayer update.
